Anders Nordentoft (b. 1957)
Anders Nordentoft got his musical degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Music, first as a violinist, later as a composer with Ib Nørholm and Hans Abrahamsen as his teachers. He is one of the main Danish composers of his generation and is recognised internationally. Great international ensembles have commissioned and premiered a lot of his works. In 1994 he received Poul Schierbeck's study grant and in 1997 the Carl Nielsen grant.
