Frederik Gislinge (b. 1938)

Frederik Gislinge is a oboeist and composer, who studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Mogens Steen Andreassen. After he played 1st oboe in the Copenhagen Philharmonic he continued to a position with Aarhus Symphony Orchester. He later on studied with André Chavalet in Paris and in 1967 he co-founded the West Jutland Chamber Ensemble - now called the Esbjerg Ensemble. Frederik Gislinge is also very active as a teacher and a composer. Not least in the field of chamber music directed at a young audience.
