Svend Larsen (b. 1931)

Svend Larsen is a viola player and composer, who studied music theory with Poul Schierbeck, but is autodidact as a composer. He worked as a viola player for Århus Symphony Orchestra from 1957 to 1969, but is now retired. His musical compositions are inspired by Bartok and Stravinsky and his work list includes chamber music works, works for symphony orchestra and a capella choir works.
