Timme Ørvad (b. 1943)

Timme Ørvad studied music theory from 1962 to 1970 at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and composition at the the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus. His works include music for chamber orchestra and ensemble, piano music, solo songs and choral music. From 1966 to 2007 he was a teacher at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and at the meantime worked as trombonist, pianist and guitarist. He received the Danish Arts Foundation's three year work grant in 1974.
