Rønsholdt and Kynde featured at November Music

2015-11-04
The Dutch festival November Music opens on Nov 4th. The festival can best be described as a melting pot for international trends in new music. It presents both electronic music, jazz, music theatre and new classical music. This year Niels Rønsholdt's work for singer, ondes martenot and choir and Lars and Nikolaj Kynde's Tasteful Turntable are presented at the festival.

Every day of the festival guests are invited to join Lars and Nikolaj Kynde’s gastronomic-musical installation called Tasteful Turntable. This is a sensuous performance that explores the sense-interference between music and gastronomy. For the composer, the tastes are used side by side with the sounds in the score. For the chef, the sounds are used to flavour the ingredients. A slowly turning dining table is designed specially to provide the guests with parallel stimuli through the ears and mouth.
The composition will be performed in an intimate setting for only four guests at a time.

Saturday 7th Nov at 12.30, Niels Rønsholdt’s Songs of Doubt for choir, solo singer and ondes martenot. The work will be performed by the jazzsinger Roderik Povel, the ondist Nathalie Forget and the choir Studio Chorale.

You can hear Songs of Doubt here.
