Erling Brene

(1896-1980)

Erling Brene was a musician and composer. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen from 1921. His music was inspired by France and the composers Béla Bartók and Igor Stravinskij. In the 1950s and 60s he worked as a music teacher. His compositions include operas and incidental music, orchestral and chamber musical works, concertos, piano music, and songs.
