Harald Agersnap was a conductor, violoncellist, pianist and composer. He was active at the Royal Theatre from 1931 and as a choirmaster from 1934. His compositions include stage music (ballets and incidental music), orchestral works, chamber music, piano pieces, and songs. He studied with Otto Malling and Carl Nielsen but was also inspired greatly by French impressionism, creating a very distinctive personal language.
