Yesterday Edition·S – music¬sound¬art invited colleagues, composers and friends to celebrate former CEO Klaus Ib Jørgensen’s many years at the publisher.
The guests arrived at Gråbrødretorv on a beautiful summer afternoon where wine, champagne and snacks were lined up for them. After small talking and handing over presents a ”surprise” act started. DYGONG members Christian Winther Christensen, Nicolai Worsaae and Regin Petersen had arranged a performative concert with Andreas Borregaard on accordion playing Klaus’ own work Cadenza (2003) whilst a deep male voice told the (made up) story of Klaus’ life. The performance ended with a silly song sung by the three DYGONG members and laughter all around.
After the performance, chairman of the Edition·S board Svend Hvidtfelt Nielsen said a few words about Klaus’ work at the publisher, editor-in-chief Christine Canals-Frau said farewell on behalf of Klaus’ colleagues and finally Klaus himself completed the line of speeches with a thank you. The rest of the afternoon and early evening was filled with more wine, champagne and sushi.
Here is a little preview from the party!
Thanks to everyone who came and joined our party.
Good luck to Klaus and his future projects! We will miss you.
