The music of Axel Borup-Jørgensen, who died just last year, is to presented in new and exciting ways in three concerts this month.
An eighty-minute audio and visual installation has been created through the collaboration of a number of musicians and focuses on the composer's prediliction for the recorder and percussion. The recorder player Michala Petri and percussionist Gert Mortensen will be joined in each concert by the harpist Tine Rehling and the DR Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet .
The concerts will also include the first performances of Pernille Louise Sejlund's homage to the composer 'Thoughts on Meditation', for recorder, percussion and harp.
