Kontraklang is a monthly concert series curated by Marta Blazanovic-Drefers, Andreas Engström and Christopher Williams, reflecting the diversity of the contemporary music scene in Berlin. The series present chamber music as well as its exchange with neighbouring fields of sound art, composer-performer practices, media-based approaches and music theater.

When SCENATET takes the stage at Kontraklang it is with a "well-known" piece by Simon Steen-Andersen and a world premiere of a new piece by Christian Winther Christensen.

Simon Steen-Andersen's 'Black Box Music' has been performed all across Europe since its premiere in 2012, and in 2014 Steen-Andersen received the Nordic Council's Music Price for the audiovisual piece. This is the first performance in Berlin, and for this SCENATET is joined by percussionist/conductor Håkon Stene.

The new piece by Christian Winther Christensen is called 'Freunde' and it will take the audience into a subtle universe where music occurs in the interaction between four musicians, one computer and simple rules.

The concert also features a piece by the Polish composer Jagoda Szmytka.
