Chromatische Weltmusik at PULSAR

Christian Winther Christensen's great double concerto is being premiered in Denmark at The PULSAR Festival.

Christian Winther Christensen’s double concerto Chromatische Weltmusik [Ohne Fremde Elemente] should have been premiered in 2013, but the performance was cancelled due to the storm “Bodil”. The premiere instead took place in 2014 at the Austrian festival Klang-spuren.

At PULSAR festival’s opening concert it is now finally time to bring Chromatische Weltmusik to the Danish public. The Danish premiere with the DR Symfony Orchestra and soloists Toke Møldrup and Bjarke Mogensen will take place on Thursday 10 March, 19:30 in the concert hall of the conservatory.

Winther Christensen is one of the main names at this year’s PULSAR Festival, a title also given to Poul Ruders. Over and above a range of works by the two composers, it will be possible to hear works by Edition·S composer Martin Stauning. The program is generally chock full with works by the composers of the future. See the entire PULSAR program.
