The stipend of 60.000 kr. will be used by Stauning for study- and work residency in Berlin with tutorage from Simon Steen-Andersen and Juliana Hodkinson. Read more about the prize.
On the 28th of February Stauning was awarded Axel Borup-Jørgensen’s composer prize 2015, which was also celebrated with a concert in which the Athelas Sinfonietta premiered the work Verdorrte Räume. Athelas also performed Stauning’s First Against the Wall for violin, cello and piano on 1 March.
