Iceland is preparing for Nordic Music Days in October, and we are proud to announce the Edition S composers in the concert line up. On October 7 Østen Mikal Ore’s Velodrome will be performed by 60 children from Icelandig Music Schools. Later same evening an electro acoustic concert features Cosmic Ambient by Jexper Holmen. Next day we have Rune Glerup’s Dust Encapsulated #2 in the afternoon chamber concert, and in the evening the prominent Icelandic Caput Ensemble plays a veritable marathon concert featuring among others Simon Steen-Andersen’s Chambered Music.
The whole festival will be taking place in the brand new and spectacular National Concert Hall, "Harpa". NMD2011 will be the first festival of its kind to be held there.
