This Saturday November 30 sees the Danish Composers' Society present a further event celebrating their 100th anniversary. Spread over multiple studios at the Concerthuset, Copenhagen, the Danish Radio Sinfonietta leads the evening where everything from conventional instrumental music is heard alongside electronic-based pieces and broader multimedia oriented works.
Among the great diversity to be experienced are works by John Frandsen and Simon Steen-Andersen. The latter's Study for String Instruments No.3 is to be played by cellist Jan Harald Halvorsen, and subsequently the Sinfonietta, under Baldur Brönnimann, will take on his mighty Double Up.
