Dark Music Days postponed

Due to new COVID-19 restrictions in Iceland, the contemporary music festival Dark Music Days / Myrkir Músíkdagar is postponed.

Dark Music Days was scheduled to take place in Reykjavík 23-29 January. The programme included the Icelandic premieres of Bára Gísladóttir's VÍDDIR and VAPE.

VAPE was composed for the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, who premiered the work at the PULSAR Festival in 2017. VÍDDIR is written for nine flutes, percussion trio, bass guitar and double bass, and was premiered on occasion of Bára Gísladóttir's graduation from the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
