How does new Danish music by today's leading composers sound when interpreted by the students of OrkesterEfterskolen, who reimagine both the music and the concert format?
Based on works from the Educate·S series, a unique concert experience is created as pieces for piano, strings, recorder, and percussion come together to form a new whole, where the passage of time is set to music, culminating in the concert "The Music of Tomorrow."
The students of OrkesterEfterskolen will perform pieces by Eva Noer Kondrup, Ejnar Kanding, Svend Hvidtfeldt Nielsen, Jexper Holmen, Fuzzy, Ib Nørholm, Nicolai Worsaae, Morten Olsen and Line Tjørnhøj.
Ejnar Kanding, Svend Hvidtfeldt Nielsen, and Eva Noer Kondrup are participating in the project with masterclasses and meetings with the students about the creation and interpretation of the music. The entire process is facilitated by Østen Mikal Ore, composer and initiator of the Educate·S series.
The concert takes place 10 December 19:30 at OrkesterEfterskolen. Find more information here.
The project is supported by KODA Kultur/Dansk Komponistforening, Toyota-Fonden, Sonning-Fonden and Dansk Artistforbund.
