Ejnar Kanding On Tour

Next week the Danish composer Ejnar Kanding will embark on a tour with the Berlin-based Ensemble Adapter.

From April 25 to June 2, 2013 it will be possible to experience Ejnar Kanding’s work Stillstehen in both Denmark and Germany. The work was originally composed in 2009, but never had its premiere and will now be performed in a new version from 2011.

Ensemble Adapter is a German-Icelandic ensemble for contemporary music based in Berlin. The core of the group consists of a quartet with flute, clarinet, harp and percussion. Together with steady guest instrumentalists this core grows into chamber music settings with up to 10 players.

On the tour the ensemble will perform music for instrumental ensemble with electronics with the following musicians: Ingólfur Vilhjálmsson (bcl), Andreas Voss (vlc), Gunnhildur Einarsdóttir (hrp), Matthias Engler (perc) and Ejnar Kanding (electr).
