Edition·S – music¬sound¬art composer Ejnar Kanding collaborates with Frank Bretschneider (DE) at Lille VEGA in Copenhagen, February 28, 2013 at 9 pm. At this concert the audience has a chance to experience the unique result of collaboration between two composers from two different musical traditions, where electronica and ambient meet classical music.
The music is performed by ensemble Contemporánea and released by Danish record label Dacapo Records on the album “Auxiliary Blue”. The album is launched at the concert.
Kanding’s curiosity, openness and an urge to try out new territories have led to collaboration with artists where the border between musical and visual has been challenged, which is what makes this collaboration almost ideal. Internationally he is known for his unique colourful sound, where the electronic and acoustic are united in complex textures, physical energy and delicate simplicity. To him, music should not embellish, but be a realm of fantasy. Addition to being a composer, Kanding is also the artistic leader of Contemporánea.
Frank Bretschneider is a German electronic musician with a strong interest in the interaction between graphics and music. For this event the Berlin based artist Lillevan has created visuals for the music. Lillevan has performed and collaborated with many artists from a wide array of genres, performed and exhibited all over the globe, and at all the major media festivals.
At the concert Kanding’s work “Vergeuder der Schmerzen” (1995) will be performed.
