The past few Flashback Fridays have been talking about jumping into a new year, getting out of “holiday mode” and having a ”fresh start” and that is what January is famous for. This time of year is full of plans, schedules, and new ideas, excel spreadsheets and so on. Working at a publishing house doesn’t change that!
Whilst we’re waiting for the new CEO to begin her job, we’ve slowly begun to plan what is going to happen in 2013. The first #photodiary picture of the year was of marketing & communication plans:
Edition·S – music¬sound¬art was invited to join the official opening reception for Danish Composers’ Society’s 100th anniversary at the beautiful Black Diamond in Copenhagen last night. This resulted in this nice photo:
The opening reception revealed 6 new works by young composers that will fill the space of the Black Diamond every day at 1pm like Fuzzy’s works have done for 10 years.
Throughout the year, DKF (as we call them in Denmark) is going to celebrate their 100th anniversary with lots of performances and fun events. One of them is actually the VinterJazz concert hosted by Edition·S and ILK Music at 5e in the Meatpacking district (Kødbyen) in Copenhagen next week! Simon Christensen will perform his new work Feed Lifting Sound together with the vocal duo LIFT. We’re very much looking forward to an interesting evening with swinging microphones and what not. Check out the event here:
Speaking of ILK Music, this week they went into the P8 Jazz studio and talked to Jazzoom about what is happening at the little record label at the moment. We’re very proud to be a part of the ILK family, so we recommend everyone to take a listen to what label manager Eva Frost had to say. Check it out here:
Have a nice weekend and Tweet you later!
