The sun continues to shine and it shines a kind light on the many talented composers on the art music scene. Yesterday was the opening concert of PULSAR festival where the prestigious Ensemble Intercontemporain performed newly composed works by young Danish composers. Amongst those were Edition·S – music¬sound¬art composer Nicolai Worsaae who had his brand new work Zwischen den beiden Kammern premiered. A beautiful piece with a front stage and a back stage:
Tonight the second Ensemble Intercontemporain concert takes place at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and another Edition·S composer is on the programme. The renowned composer Simon Steen-Andersen’s work Praesens will be performed at the concert at 7.30 pm. Keep updated on our Twitter profile for more info and photos from the performance.
This week our Newsletter was sent out and presented “Rebecca’s Top Tips for Upcoming Performances” to our readers. Here she mentions a lot of interesting and exciting performances that will take place the next couple of months.
The newsletter also featured a “Score of the Month” that matches the sunny spring weather outside. Finn Savery’s Spring ’11 is the perfect soundtrack for this weekend and is a good example of Savery’s dualism, diversity and integration.
