WDR 3, the German public-broadcaster, will live-transmit the German premiere of Rune Glerup’s String Quartet No. 2 this Thursday, 30 November, at 8 PM.

Glerup’s 28-minute work, written for the French string quartet, was world premiered by Quatuor Diotima earlier this year, on 7 October in Graz, Austria.

The four musicians – Yun-Peng Zhao, Constance Ronzatti, Franck Chevalier and Pierre Morlet – also performed the work at a concert in Orléans, France, on 15 November, making the performance this Thursday in WDR Funkhaus Köln the third performance of String Quartet No. 2.

The concert, which will also feature works by Tristan Murail, Bernd Alois Zimmermann and Ramon Lazkano, can be streamed live at WDR.de – and will be available for archive streaming for one month.
