On the occasion of the experimenting, avant-garde record label ILK Music's 10th anniversary the composer collective hosts a grand and extravagant party at Jazzhouse in Copenhagen on September 13 and 14, 2013. ILK transforms Jazzhouse to a scenic ILK house, where site specific performances, obstreperous concerts from ILK’s current constellations as well as nostalgia of former ILK releases will be presented.
The 10th anniversary will be marked by a conceptual anniversary release of 20 short works composed for and performed by each of the 20 members of ILK. The album is released on ready-mades with download codes exclusively sold at the ILK party.
On the programme Saturday evening is Edition·S composer Simon Steen-Andersen in a duo together with jazz pianist Søren Kjærgaard. The improvised duo also performed at the Edition·S concert during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival this summer.
Both evenings begin at 8 pm and continue all through the night.
Entrance fee is 100 kr. per night.
