Rudersdal Kammersolister performs two concerts with works by Jexper Holmen
Rudersdal Sommerkoncerter unfolds in 11 concerts ranging from medieval hymns to contemporary art music represented by the two composers in residence, Giya Kancheli and Jexper Holmen.
Jexper Holmen's works are performed at four different concerts by three different ensembles: The newly established ensemble Rudersdal Kammersolister in various constallations, Duo Askou//Andersen and Florin Harp Trio.
One of the concerts bears the title: 'Two originals' and places works by Jexper Holmen alongside works by Mozart. The programme includes two Jexper Holmen world premieres and two older pieces, and Holmen himself wrote the programme notes. One of them goes something like this:
High and loud and low and loud and high and soft and loud and high and faster and loud and soft and only soft and soft and loud and high and low and slower and high and soft and loud and at the same time high and soft and loud at the same time and high and a little low also and loud all the time and high and also low and neither high nor low and high and high and soft and loud and the opposite and high and loud and diminuendo and loud.
