Jexper Holmen is in focus next week as the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival presents three major works by the Danish composer in an exclusive portrait concert. The concert shows the 38 years old composer as a reformer of the role of the accordion instrument in art music – all three works are pivoted around the unusual instrument and open a whole new world of sound and musical experience. The concert features the world premieres of Eris as well as performances of Lullabies and Oort Cloud. Performers are Frode Haltli (accordion), Frode Andersen (accordion), Torben Snekkestad (soprano saxophone), Jexper Holmen (accordion) and Ejnar Kanding (sound engineer).
