When the only one year old new media arts festival CLICK starts in Elsinore next week, it will be with a new installation and performance work by the artist duo Klejs & Rønsholdt on the programme. The new work is called SKIN and will be presented at the festival on May 3-5 as part of a workshop, which is a collaboration between The Culture Yard in Elsinore, the art and technology center 3LD from New York, and Edition·S – music¬sound¬art. Here the limits for art and performance as technology will be explored in a so-called 4D Artbox.
CLICK 2012 runs from April 30 to May 5, and it is the second CLICK Festival for new media arts in Elsinore. This year's festival theme is “The Eye, The Ear & The Hand”, which is a continuation of CLICK's 2011 theme “The Eye & The Ear”. Here the work was focused on sound and image in A/V performances. This year the presence of the “hand” adds the human touch – Intervention, the error, the glitch in the system. The hand also represents the interaction, but rather than focusing exclusively on interactive arts, the theme extends into multiple layers of user involvement, through workshops and open exhibition formats.
