The next two weeks will be in the name of Lars Hegaard. The Danish composer has two important concerts coming up.
The first one is on Sunday September 15, 2013 when Ny Musik i Birkerød hosts yet another concert. At this concert pianist Hans Andersen performs two of Hegaard’s work – one old and one new. The work The Great Beam of the Milky Way was composed in 1985 whilst Clouds and Horizons was composed in 2012 and premiered at the Open Days Festival in Aalborg same year. The latter work is the 3rd work connected to the theme ‘clouds’.
At the other concert Duo Ambra – consisting of mezzo-soprano Ulla-Mir Renöfält and pianist Ole Worm – performs Hegaard’s This is my letter to the world (2012). The work is inspired by poet Emily Dickinson’s poem of the same name and is premiered at this concert. The concert takes place on Sunday September 22, 2013 at Hedegårdskirken in Ballerup, Denmark.
