Ny Musik i Birkerød (New Music in Birkerød) has invited three composers to perform on Palm Sunday.
The three composers Jexper Holmen, Ejnar Kanding and Frode Andersen often work together on performances and have created a community they call “Lullabies”. The Lullabies Ensemble debuted in 2009 and has since then performed both in Denmark and abroad. Lullabies is also the name of their joint work for music boxes and electronica, which they will perform in a new version at the concert on Sunday March 24, 2013 at 3 pm.
At the concert audiences can also experience a work from each composer including Jexper Holmen’s Gotisk Suite (1986-2012) – a great romantic work with roots in four pieces he wrote when he was 15 years old.
