The Danish composer collective and ensemble Snow Mask hosts a series of four lunch concerts in Aalborg, Denmark. All the concerts are solo concerts performed by leading Danish musicians. Each concert focuses on a new instrument and includes a premiere of a commissioned work from a Danish composer. The work is written specifically for this soloist and this concert, and the composer will be present at the performance.
Saturday January 12, 2013 at 2 pm Snow Mask and Matias Seibæk premiere Lars Hegaard’s newest work Figures in wood and metal (2012) at one of these lunch concerts. The work is composed especially for the young percussionist and includes exotic instruments such as Chinese gongs, wood blocks and vibraphone.
