As part of November Musik in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Belgium, Niels Rønsholdt’s Me Quitte is to be performed by SCENATET on November 10. Completed just this year, this unique work is to be heard in an ideal location as it is based on a song of perhaps the greatest Belgian singer. The Danish Arts Foundation wrote about the work last year:
‘Rønsholdt turns Jaques Brel’s famous love song “Ne Me Quitte Pas” inside out in every way. When Brel’s song begs his loved one to stay, Rønsholdt’s songs command the opposite – leave me!'
