Electronic and acoustic music, choreography, art installations and theatre are all mixed into one when Irina-Kalina Goudeva performs her one-woman-show at Copenhagen Music Theatre.
The performance, called Oración del Fuego (Fire Prayer), includes music from Edition·S – music¬sound¬art composers Ejnar Kanding, Line Tjørnhøj and Rachel Yatzkan and evolves around a myth about the goddess Menada and all the challenges she meets when she one day suddenly appears on earth. Here she is whirled into the dangerous game of love, which she arrogantly and carelessly embarks on – first as a mythical snake and later as a goddess.
Oración del Fuego is a holistic performance and an avant-garde one-woman-show that aims at creating a synthesis between the two media; theatre and the auditory. The performance includes contemporary electronic music and acoustic sound from Goudeva’s double bass and voice. The sound universe – in combination with a strong choreography and the Danish artist Nes Lerpa’s installations, paintings and sculptures – gives the performance a unique expression.
The performance takes place at Copenhagen Music Theatre, Kronprinsessegade 7, Saturday June 16 at 8 pm and Sunday June 17 at 5 pm.
