Podcast Interviews from hcmf// 2011

Now you can listen to podcast interviews from this year’s Huddersfield festival on Edition·S’ Soundcloud profile!

During the ten-day-long Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival in November 2011, the CEO of Edition·S – music¬sound¬art, Klaus Ib Jørgensen, recorded podcast interviews (with a little help from SNYK’s Thorbjørn Tønder Hansen) with various guests, composers, musicians, arrangers etc. These interviews are now available as a collected set on the Edition·S Soundcloud profile.

The set contains 10 interview flashes with various festival participants who share their thoughts and impressions of this year's festival and the music by Edition·S composers. Go to our profile now and have a listen!

During 2010-12, Edition·S composers are heavily exposed at the festival, along with several other Danish composers. We are extremely proud of our composers and especially Jexper Holmen, who has been given a particular focus as composer-in-residence – a position, which will unfold fully in 2012 with several new works to be premiered. At this 2011 edition of the festival, Jexper's new work Marula written for the London Sinfonietta was performed for the first time. In addition to that, we also found works by Nicolai Worsaae, Simon-Steen-Andersen, Steingrimur Rohloff and Niels Rønholdt on this year’s programme. All were received really well and considered some of the most progressive and contemporary works at the festival.

All in all a very exciting and interesting festival!
