This month has seen the formidable Ensemble Modern release they are, a double CD recording featuring thirteen of the most progressive composers working today. The release brings together works performed at the ensemble's International Composition Seminar over a number of years and features Steingrimur Rohloff's mighty Der erste Mensch and the unmistakable world of Simon Steen-Andersen's Chambered Music.
