Simon Steen-Andersen at DEFINE Festival

This coming Saturday, the electronic music festival that cross borders, DEFINE, kicks off in Flensburg, Germany and travels to Sønderborg, Denmark the next day. Edition·S – music¬sound¬art composer Simon Steen-Andersen is on the programme.

DEFINE Festival mixes the classical electronic music performed by South Jutland Symphony Orchestra with young, underground electronic performances by Tone Space students from The Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Esbjerg. The festival is a corporation between Kulturwerkstatt Kühlhaus in Flensburg and New Art Sønderborg, which makes it one-of-a-kind and unique in its choice of locations.

Sunday November 4, 2012 at 4pm South Jutland Symphony Orchestra will perform two works by Simon Steen-Andersen at Alsion in Sønderborg, Denmark. First, the site-specific performance for joystick-controlled video RunTime Error and second, Ouvertures for the classical Chinese instrument Ghuzeng, sampler and orchestra.

On the programme are also established names such as Bjørn Svin, Fuzzy and Rainer Weichhold. For more information, please visit the website.
