This Wednesday evening the Cafe OTO located in London welcomes you to Kämmer Klang’s 25th concert presenting music by Simon Steen-Andersen.
Lucy Railton (cello) and Aisha Orazbayeva (violin) will perform Simon’s work Study for String Instrument #2 for two string instruments and whammy pedal.
Kämmer Klang also offers an opportunity to see arrangements by Kerry Yong for the ensemble, Ligeti's Lux Etaerna, which is known for its presence as the soundtrack to Stanley Kubrick's film 2001: A Space Odyssey and Karlheinz Stockhausen's Klavierstuck IX.
In addition to that, psychedelic Terry Riley's A Rainbow in Curved Air will be performed by Kerry Yong on Casio and effects pedals and Serge Vuille on percussion, and violinist Eloisa-Fleur Thom will present her take on Alvin Lucier's I'm Sitting in a Room newly arranged and named From death, lead me to immortality.
