Last year, contemporary classical music was included in SPOT Festival in Aarhus, and the success will be repeated this year when SPOT FLUX takes place May 2–3.
SPOT is an internationally recognized festival in Aarhus, showcasing and creating a platform for the latest trends in Danish and Nordic music. 2025 will mark the 30th edition of the festival which has been unfolding in Aarhus since 1994.
In the context of SPOT FLUX Damkapellet will perform works by, among others, Greta Eacott and Kirstine Lindemann, while Aarhus Chamber Orchestra will feature Mette Nielsen on the program.
Niels Rønsholdt is also represented at this year's SPOT Festival. Together with Aarhus Jazz Orchestra and Henriette Sennenvaldt he takes stage as soloist and co-composer of a new piece ‘Excellent Place to Start’ drawing inspiration from the wondrous literary universe of author Signe Gjessing.
