SPOT FLUX coming up

The first ever SPOT FLUX takes place 3-4 May, featuring works by Matias Vestergård, Bára Gísladóttir, Mette Nielsen, Li-Ying Wu, Thomas Agerfeldt Olesen and more.

SPOT FLUX is a platform for contemporary orchestral music launched at SPOT Festival 2024 in a collaboration between SPOT and the Danish Composers' Association. 

The first ever SPOT FLUX features a great selection of ensembles and composers including works published by Edition·S:

On Friday 3 May, Athelas Sinfonietta will perform Matias Vestergård: Colapse and Collapse (2020), Bára Gísladóttir: Rage against reply guy (2021), Mette Nielsen: Together (2021) and Li-Ying Wu: The truth will set you free (2020).

On Saturday 4 May, Århus Sinfonietta will perform Thomas Agerfeldt Olesen's Trennungsbriefe (2021).

SPOT is an internationally recognized festival taking place in Aarhus, Denmark since 1994, showcasing and creating a platform for the latest trends in Danish and Nordic music. 

With the launch of SPOT FLUX the festival wants to ensure that significant orchestral works come to life and are experienced by more people, both in Denmark and internationally.
