Svend Hvidtfelt portrait concert

On 14 October Ny Musik i Birkerød hosts a portrait concert with a programme of old and new works by Svend Hvidtfeldt Nielsen.

The celebration of Svend Hvidtfeldt Nielsen , who turned 60 earlier this year, continues, and at Ny Musik i Birkerød, Kristoffer Hyldig, piano; Idinna Lützhøft, violin and Carl Oscar Østerlind, cello will present a concert of new and old solo and chamber works. 

The preliminary program looks as follows:

Musik for Violin og Klaver (2011)

Samhørighed  (2018)
Kontemplation for Violin og Klaver (2011)
Linjer og tid (2010)
Under sand (2018) (World Premiere)

'Under sand' is commissioned by the trio for this particular concert, and about the work, Svend Hvidtfelt says: 

"The title refers to the feeling of something hidden or concealed that I got while writing the piece. As if it all revolves around something unsaid. I wanted to focus on the sadness of the music. But sadness can also be tucked away or hidden in the sand... "
