This year’s Suså Festival welcomes you to three late summer days of art music running from September 2-4, 2011 in Næstved.
It is an annual meeting place for serious contemporary music; a "golden meeting" of composers, audiences and players; three intense days featuring seven prominent soloists and ensembles from Denmark and abroad, a lyrics, drama, ballet and music show, and a fascinating meet-the-composer event.
This time the festival will be presenting eleven different ensembles and soloists, and an event titled "Meet the composers." It includes 31 works by 28 contemporary composers and seven world premieres. In addition to that, the festival will be presenting a theme called “Vindue af Tyskland” (Window on Germany), for which they are flying in the elite Ensemble 01 from Chemnitz to perform important German works.
At the Suså Festival you have the possibility to hear works by Edition·S – music¬sound¬art composers such as Christian Winther Christensen, John Frandsen, Klaus Ib Jørgensen, Hans-Henrik Nordstrøm and Nicolai Worsaae.
