On 24 April the Danish Music Publishers' Association will give out Carl Prisen which honours 14 Danish composers and songwriters in rock, pop, jazz, classical music and other genres.

We are happy to announce that Line Tjørnhøj and Niels Rønsholdt are both nominated for each their opera published at Edition·S.

Line Tjørnhøj is nominated in the category 'Classical Composer of the Year - Small Ensemble' for her work 'AGONY'. 'AGONY' is an experimental opera merging music, food and female empowerment, and it received great reviews when it was premiered in October 2017.

Niels Rønsholdt is nominated in the category 'Classical Composer of the Year - Large Ensemble' for his work 'Gaze for Gaze'. Rønsholdt's opera was premiered in March 2017  by SCENATET with the composer himself in one of the leading parts. The critic from Politiken highlighted the "remarkable fragile authenticity" in a five-star review.
