Line Tjørnhøj is nominated in the category 'Classical Composer of the Year - Small Ensemble' for her choir piece 'Hånden på hjertet'. The piece was written for the Danish National Girls' Choir and was recently released as a digital single.

Niels Rønsholdt is nominated in the category 'Classical Composer of the Year - Large Ensemble' for his work 'Country' written for cello and chamber orchestra. The work features a cello soloist that both sings and plays the cello 'ala chitarra' - like a guitar. 'Country' was premiered by Jakob Kullberg and Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej.

The winners of Carl Prisen 2021 will be announced on 23 August. Carl Prisen is given out by the Danish Music Publishers' Association and honours Danish composers and songwriters in a variety of musical genres.
