Kunstpauser er en podcast om samtidens kompositionsmusik og hvordan den taler ind i vores omverden via klimakrise, globalisering, krig – men også mere universelle, almenmenneskelige spørgsmål om køn, identitet og tro. Serien udforsker musikkens kobling til andre kunstarter og dykker ned i de kreative processer, der ligger bag de færdige værker, vi oplever. Kunstpauser is a podcast about contemporary art music and how it relates to the world around us via the climate crisis, globalisation, war – but also more universal, general human questions concerning gender, identity and faith. The series explores connections between music and other forms of art and delves into the creative processes behind the finished works we get to experience. Kunstpauser is produced by Edition·S and Dacapo Records in collaboration with Thiemers Magasin.


In episode one composer Matias Vestergård, author Lea Marie Løppenthin and director Natascha Metherell talk about the creation of the Reumert-winning opera Lisbon Floor

A conversation about mixing artistic blood, about the tradition and renewal of the opera genre and about letting themes and characters intertwine in a humorous contemporary opera.

In episode 2 the composer Line Tjørnhøj, artist Signe Klejs and soprano Else Torp talk about enTmenschT, a concert installation that deals with the destructive inhuman tendencies of our time: the climate crisis, war and refugees, dulling digital realities and social isolation, and the hope that is to be found within the creative act.
