Included on the newly released album is 'Concertino for Flute and Orchestra' (1937) published by Edition·S, and about this the review says:
"A fine little concert for flute and orchestra is held purely in the anti-romantic style of the 1930's. It is not lacking in melodic beauty and is beautifully played by the flute player Lena Kildahl [...] The concert is held in a rhythmically clear, fresh tone with some oddly twisted references to the children's song 'Bro Bro Brille' and a beautiful nightly intermezzo"
The album is the first volume of three in a collaboration between Dacapo Records and Aarhus Symphony Orchestra on releasing a selection of Svend Erik Tarp's orchestral works. According to Politiken this first album shows great promise for the rest of the series.
