From the performance of Line Tjørnhøj's 'EnTmenschT' (photo: Anders Bigum) Carl Prisen was established in 2013 by the Danish Music Publisher's Association and celebrates Danish composers and songwriters across genres. On 30 April Carl Prisen 2019 will be given out to 14 composers. Among the nominees are three works published by Edition·S.

Drot og Marsk (Photo: Claus Vedfelt)Peter Heise's 'Drot og Marsk' (King and Marshal) composed in 1876-78 is considered one of the most important Danish operas ever written. 'Drot og Marsk' was first performed at The Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, on 25 September 1878, and was quickly established thereafter as part of the theatre's regular repertoire.

Else Marie Pade is known as a Danish pioneer in electronic music but an examination of her complete oeuvre shows that she was much more than that.

Edition·S composers at Dark Music Days

The Copenhagen based ensemble NEKO3 brings works by various Edition·S composers to Iceland. On 31 January they will perform a concert in the concert hall Harpa including works by Simon Løffler, Jeppe Ernst and Jeppe Just Christensen alongside the ensemble's own Mads Emil Dreyer.
