Simon Steen-Andersen
In 2021 an album featuring Simon Steen-Andersen's complete guitar works were released. On that occasion, the highly acclaimed composer revealed that it all started with the guitar:
"My mother had a western guitar hanging on the wall that I tried out from time to time until I got a small nylon stringed guitar of my own for my 10th birthday. A few years later I had saved up and was able to buy a cheap electric guitar and eventually started playing rock music in different bands. After 3-4 years, and an electric guitar upgrade, we reached a point where we were playing quite nice gigs at decent venues and small festivals. During all that time, I was making up more and more music on my acoustic guitar - music that did not fit the bands and in some cases did not really fit anything else I knew at that point."
Sandra Boss: Sorte Negle
Sorte Negle is a solo piece for classical guitar and exaggeratedly long artificial nails.
It explores the essential role that the nails play for any guitarist. As a classical guitarist, your nails form an extended part of your instrument. Regardless of gender, well-kept nails are a prerequisite for being able to play accurately, form timbre and dynamics and add personality. In Sorte Negle, the role of the nails is magnified applying exaggeratedly long artificial and painted nails to the instrumentalist.

Morten Ladehoff: Tableau Vivant
Morten Ladehoff is inspired by conceptual art, and often deconstructs instruments and the way we typically use them. In Tableau Vivant an amplified classical guitar is placed on a table in front of the musician.
