Regin Petersen

(1980-)

Regin Petersen studied musicology at University of Copenhagen and after two semesters at University of Chichester, where he got his first lessons in composition by Michael Waite, he started studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. He often experiments with as many different parameters of music as possible, such as instrumentation, sound and performance. His work list includes acoustic 'classical' works, electroacoustic works and installations. In 2002 he co-founded the composer society Grundtonen and in 2004 he co-founded the composer collective DYGONG, which performs both nationally and internationally and released its debut album "The E·Sessions" in January 2012 in collaboration with Edition·S – music¬sound¬art.
