Christian Winther Christensen’s double concerto Chromatische Weltmusik [Ohne Fremde Elemente] should have been premiered in 2013, but the performance was cancelled due to the storm “Bodil”. The premiere instead took place in 2014 at the Austrian festival Klang-spuren.

Zehn japanische Holzschnitte out on CD

The composer Gunnar Berg was inspired by Japanese woodcuts depicting the Japanese Mount Fuji. Last year Signe Asmussen and Erik Kaltoft released the CD “Danish Songs with Far Eastern Inspiration” at the label CDKlassisk. The recording has given rise to a series of concerts, which include Zehn japanische Holzschnitte.

‘Concert in darkness’ is organized every year in collaboration with Danish Society for the Blind. This year’s theme was consolation, and that is also the title of Line Tjørnhøj’s new work ‘TRØST’ written for DR Girls Choir to a text by Lotte Kofod Ludvigsen. TRØST’/Consolation was first performed at this concert.
