Piece by Martin Stauning on...

Between October 12–18 the yearly Carl Nielsen Chamber Music Competition takes place in Copenhagen. In addition to Nielsen and other repertoire pieces, the participating ensembles will perform newly written works by British composer James Black and Martin Stauning for the second round.

World Premiere of Niels Rønsholdt's New Piece

Rønsholdt's piece is written for solo voice, ondes martenot, choir, and electronics and has as its central topic the act of making decisions and the doubts that follow them. The music is constructed as a number of simple songs that are all exposed to the complications born from this doubt.
